Grand Tour feels like when a family member or friend returns from a holiday and sits you down to for the presentation on their good time.
While there’s certainly more to Grand Tour than the giddy ramblings of someone with a camera and the funds for travel, it settles into a similar rhythm; your given a location, some striking imagery and a small narrative tying into a greater whole – though not always in that order.
It’s rambling, beautiful and feels a lot longer than it is. The effect coming away is that you get to know the countries and cities more intimately than you do the dual-protagonists, which I think is the point.
