To honour internationally recognised documentary filmmaker, Ms Robin Anderson, an annual competitive film festival for secondary school filmmakers has been established and will be held at the Dendy Quay Cinemas, in mid November 2016.
The Robin Anderson Film Awards (the Awards) is open to students who are enrolled in secondary school in 2016 and offers two sections for entry: a junior students section (Years 7-10) and a senior students section (Years 11-12). Work can be submitted under the following two categories.
1. Fiction category, which includes drama, music video, thriller, or film that does not relate to true and factual events.
2. Non-fiction category, which includes documentaries and film dealing with real events and real people.
